I have an antique handle with a swastika on it, does anyone know what it was used for

Okay, l have this silver and copper valve with a porcelain handle. It has a

swastika on each side. It has an open end where a hose or some liquid or

valve and had blown through it nothing happened. l opened it and the air 
flown through without a problem. My dad had this piece for a long time. l

It looks like a spigot once used in a laboratory or something.

Hitler is Nazis took the swastika & rotated it so it looks like it is  
running or standing up on one point. Since that time, even the native
